Additional Armed Madhouse: From Baghdad to New Orleans--Sordid Secrets and Strange Tales of a White House Gone Wild Information

In his most provocative and caustically funny book yet, Greg Palast, author of the national bestseller The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, once again gives us the straight scoop on the stories that Big Media won’t report. Digging up reams of documents marked "secret" and "confidential," Palast provides the latest lowdown on Bush’s secret plans to seize Iraq’s oil, the fix planned for the 2008 election, who drowned New Orleans, and the horror and the humor of the War on Terror. With diligent detective work, moral outrage, and a keen sense of the absurd, Palast takes on the "armed and dangerous clowns that rule us" as only he can.

What Customers Say About Armed Madhouse: From Baghdad to New Orleans--Sordid Secrets and Strange Tales of a White House Gone Wild:

an entire war being orchestrated out of smoke filled back-rooms, so to speak. This book fills in the blanks the main stream media purposely leaves behind. Enter Palast, center stage, and the fog clears, and the public are armed with knowledge. But seriously, this is a MUST read. Drink it in yourself. It is all documented. (I am trying to write this review as Palast would write it himself). In fact, it is the job of the MSM to create a plausible and surprisingly erudite confusion/fog so that those who know better can carry on.

all fact. written in entertaining enjoyable style. I really don't want to give away any more punch. cheers.

Diabetes: Sugar-Coated Crisis: Who Gets it, Who Profits and How to Stop itGreg Palast finds stories nobody else knows, and speaks truths that few others report. Most of the reasons we are given in the media have nothing to do with the real stories behind the scenes. He spends a chapter trying to explain why the U.S.

Everyone should read this book. One very positive element is his placing these horrors in the context of class war - a war by the rich against working people. There are similar omissions in the chapters on how the Republicans stole the elections of 2000 and 2004. He does it in an entertaining way, if your idea of entertainment includes shaking with rage at the evil that powerful men do.

was so anxious to get rid of Saddam, but never mentions Israel once, not even as a minor cause. He says this applies to Katrina, Iraq, election theft, and many other stories. He does leave some things out, however.

He seems to have a soft spot for the Democrats, which is hard to explain based on the examples he gives. But overall, this book will explain many mysterious goings on. Palast gives us a valuable glimpse behind the curtain.

If you don't already know some of this stuff, prepare yourself to be disillusioned. We live in a wonderful country, and we are not in charge. This book names those who are in charge and how they do what they do. It exposes graft, greed, corporate manipulation, and more that will make you mad, I hope.

Greg Palast is a great reporter. He's thorough, gives superb references and is a funny writer. Some of the things he exposes here are just jaw-dropping examples of voter fraud. This is an excellent book that pulls you in, and strongly recommended for anyone interested in the nature of democracy these days. Great food for thought.

This book is another great read by Greg Palast. I love his dedication to uncovering the corruption in the government. Although this book can be a bit one sided (not Michael Moore one sided though) and have some very questionable sources (the document just fell out the sky and someone in my department found it) it is a great view into how the government works through the eyes of a investigative journalist. I would recommend The Best Democracy Money can Buy if you want to read some of his better work.
